Verdict: do not choose a CPAP backup by brand first. Get the exact CPAP model, prescribed settings, humidifier and heated-hose use, approved DC cable, measured overnight watt-hours and required number of nights. The BLUETTI X60 is the CPAP-specific candidate with DC outputs; the Jackery Explorer 600 v2 is a mid-size station with a maker-described overnight setting; the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 gives a larger reserve for a broader household plan.

Then confirm compatibility with the CPAP manufacturer and your clinician. A consumer power station is not a medical-grade UPS and should not be relied on for life-support equipment unless the equipment manufacturer explicitly supports the arrangement.

Start with the CPAP, not the battery

The same machine can use very different energy depending on pressure, leaks, humidification, heated tubing, altitude and ambient temperature. Manufacturer runtime charts are useful only when they match the exact setup.

Run a supervised home test with a suitable meter. Record energy for a full normal night and add reserve. If the device maker offers an approved DC cable, it may avoid AC inverter losses, but use only the specified cable and voltage. Never improvise a connector.

Candidate sizes

The BLUETTI X60 is a 614Wh LiFePO4 CPAP power bank. BLUETTI lists 12V/5A, 16V/4A and 24V/4A DC outputs with seven power cables in the box, and says it is compatible with over 90% of CPAPs on the market; its published outputs are DC, USB-A and USB-C, with no AC outlet listed. BLUETTI says runtime depends on pressure, humidity and even the mask type, and advises turning off the heater and humidifier to maximize runtime. Check the connector and voltage for your exact machine on that page before buying.

The Jackery Explorer 600 v2 provides 640Wh with 500W rated AC output and a 120W car port output. Its Smart Power Saving mode switches low-power devices off after 6 hours; Jackery says to disable it for uninterrupted overnight power, “ideal for CPAPs or critical gear.” It is the better starting point when you want AC and USB-C ports as well as a 12V car port.

The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 provides 1,024Wh and 2,000W output. Anker lists CPAP machines among the equipment its under-10 ms UPS switchover is meant to keep running, and it has a 12V/10A (120W) DC output. CPAP equipment does not normally need that output level; buy it when the same battery will support a wider measured emergency list.

Candidate Published capacity Best reason to shortlist Do not assume
BLUETTI X60 614Wh CPAP-specific DC outputs for a measured single-device plan That your machine’s connector and voltage match without checking
Jackery Explorer 600 v2 640Wh Overnight power-saving setting can be disabled; AC, USB-C and car port A fixed number of nights across CPAP settings
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 1,024Wh CPAP within a broader measured load plan That high AC output makes it medical-grade backup

Humidification changes the answer

Heated humidifiers and heated hoses can dominate overnight consumption. Do not switch prescribed settings off merely to fit a battery without discussing it with the appropriate clinician. A better plan may be a larger battery, an approved alternate mode, or a documented secondary power source.

Test the whole outage routine

  1. Charge the station and confirm the exact output mode.
  2. Connect the approved CPAP power supply or DC cable.
  3. Run one complete normal night while grid power remains available as backup.
  4. Record start and end percentage and any alarms.
  5. Repeat if seasonal settings change.
  6. Store the station and cable together within temperature limits.
  7. Set a recurring charge and battery-health check.

If the CPAP has an internal or manufacturer-approved battery option, compare that first. Dedicated batteries may be easier to transport and may have clearer compatibility guidance.

Choose from an overnight runtime test

Choose the X60 when a full-night test on its DC output leaves a safe reserve for your exact machine. Choose the Explorer 600 v2 when you want a mid-size station with AC and USB-C ports and the overnight setting disabled. Choose the C1000 Gen 2 when CPAP is one part of a broader household backup plan or the night test calls for more reserve. Medical risk, not cost, sets the capacity.
